I decided to start combining the fields of architecture and stained glass, using architectural and urban icons as a theme to make stained glass objects.
The following words are an abstract description of a project called
" lightposts ";
give landscape form_direction using an icon such as a lamp post_
albeit abstract_
the function of a lamp post is making our roads_our mobility_ visable
during the day lamp posts have no function_
at night lampposts are different filters_
topography_wind_sound_
moonlight_tide_movement_
this is the direction nature decides then_
lightposts seek to illuminate landscape_
glass_is transparent_
one can see beyond_and throught it_
during the day it has meaning_a filter to see landscape_
lightposts hint direction_
however the landscape decides_nature decides_
our nature_or a part of our self_
is moving_curious restless
I would like to make lightposts in a landscape, and would like public to be able to see and enjoy it.
The realization of lightposts , in colour and texture, as well the amount of lightposts , depends eintirely on the context in which it is set.
